Rampart Hydro Services’ vacuum trucks are powerful, wet/dry vacuum systems with the most technically advanced filtration system. When connected directly to the hydrodemolition cutting unit, the water and much of the debris from the hydrodemolition process is collected immediately. Proper water control reduces the concern over containing and collecting the wastewater. Vacuuming prevents water from entering lakes, streams or watershed areas. Water can be pumped from the vacuum truck to a settling area continuously to minimize down time resulting from frequent dumping.
Each vacuum truck also has a trailer used to transport the Trac Vac, hoses, tools and spare parts. All the materials and equipment needed to perform vacuum cleanup for a hydrodemolition project are contained in the trailer. Similar the Rampart’s hydrodemolition equipment, Rampart’s vacuum equipment is self-sufficient on the project.
The integral 10,000-psi water blaster insures cleanup can be completed quickly and efficiently. Rampart has developed special tools to assist in the debris removal operation including an under carriage vacuum head. Rampart’s trucks have been equipped with a 1,200-gallon water tank to supply the 10,000-psi and 2,500-psi water blasters. The trucks are equipped with hydrostatic transmissions that allow the trucks to vacuum while they are moving.
