Following hydrodemolition the remaining debris must be cleaned and surface pressure washed.  Rampart’s vacuum trucks are equipped with a hydrostatic drive that allows the truck to move forward while the vacuum is in operation.  As a result, we were able to build vacuum decks and placed them under the truck.  These vacuum decks allow the truck to be driven over the surface and quickly perform the vacuum cleanup of the hydrodemolished surface.  This method of cleanup is only effective for shallow removal (1/4” to 1-1/2”) where the reinforcing steel remains supported by the existing concrete.
