Thin cement based coatings (1/8” – ¼”) can be removed using UHP water jets. Cement based coatings containing latex have been used for waterproofing and deck protection. These materials can be removed to expose the original deck surface. During removal the coating becomes sand, cement and slurry, which must be contained and properly disposed. The water will also need to be filtered prior to discharge. |
